![]() I cannot know where to begin, wiki on these two pages has so many errors and to be honest I only read a a fraction of the wiki for 'lathe'. Likewise a few minutes previously found wiki Joseph Clement, engineer draughtsman that worked with Maudslay and we are told influenced Whitworth to push ahead in standardising screw thread pitches. ![]() It really is an article loaded with crap. ![]() ie I am a manufacturer yes and they (a bot or an idiot) erroneously thought I needed the advertising, I don't know how this wld have worked, I'm baffled, I'd assumed as merely providing edits my name would not appear. I spent an hour correcting but as I'd used my real name was instantly deleted as 'advertising'. I refuse to post a link, it is just so bad, its near garbage. ![]() Last night for the first time ever I looked at the wiki page for 'lathe' and I couldn't believe the amount of errors and sheer misinformation, all served up with plenty of 'wrong assumption' on the part of the contributors. (writing this October 2022 but backdating to retain my preferred sequence of posts). ![]()
